The Beginners Running Course
At RunTeach, we coach runners of all abilities.
We want to share this same knowledge with you!
We have a passion for teaching correct movement patterns and making them stronger.
This means you’ll start your running journey off on the right foot.
This six-week practical outdoor course is designed to give you a complete overview of running… not
just about get you up off the couch to a 5km!
We want to give you the toolkit to run stronger, faster and injury free so you can maximise your
enjoyment of running.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, trying to come back from a long stint of injury or time off, or
you want to make some fundamental improvements ahead of a 5km event, you’ll take away
everything you need to get you there.
- The importance of a warm-up
- How to avoid injuries
- Strength work
- Running technique
- Different types of training runs so it all comes together
- Some fun exercises to help with balance and co-ordination
- How to connect with other runners, join groups and find out about local events
- How to cool down appropriately
Lead by UK Athletics Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF), Rebecca Gardiner, you’ll complete the six-week course ready and prepared to take part in a 5km event. You will have the option to graduate at Moors Valley parkrun (free registration and barcode required) on Saturday 29 June.
Our upcoming 1 day workshop, The Resilient Runner, has been written to help runners of any ability to overcome some of the main questions we get asked:
- Why do we get injured?
- How do I reduce the risk of injury?
- How can I run more efficiently?
- How can I run faster and get that PB?!
If you have ever asked any of these questions, The Resilient Runner Workshop is for you!
Through group discussion, practical exercises and expert experience, we will help you discover the answers to all these questions. You will learn the techniques used by elite athletes and coaches to progress your running to the next level.
You will also receive 3 different warm up routines to take away and use immediately.
